Sarah Miner

Therapy can be overwhelming, scary, and feel like a failure.  You are brave to reach out- make the call, email our office, or sending a message on the website.  Mental health care is just as important as a physical wellness exam.  I am committed to staying curious about your unique personal story, being a trusted partner, and walking alongside with compassion and expertise using a client centered approach. Understanding your story is necessary to allow us a clear path to your success.  My mission is to reduce the stigma around obtaining mental health, substance use care, and support for trauma, making a safe space for you to share your experiences and find tools to learn and utilize in your daily life.

I have worked in the medical and law enforcement field for over 20 years.  I served 8 years in the US Army, 1 tour to Iraq.  I seek to walk alongside you in your experiences.  I can empathize and help you understand your goals and needs.  I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New England College.  I have worked with veterans, first responders, couples, families, children, and adults of all ages.  I have experience working in emergency services, mobile crisis, facilitated IOP groups, couples therapy, and individual treatment.   I provide counseling for ages 14 and older, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), holistic therapy, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help navigate the roller coaster called “life.” My style is strength focused, reality based, solution focused, client centered collaborative approach.
